Apparel retailer Giordano has invested in family-friendly infrastructure, trained its employees to offer good service to customers, and made their shop a great place for families to shop!

Giordano is an international retailer of men’s, women’s and children’s apparels. It operates 48 stores in Singapore, seven of which focus entirely on children’s apparels. It also operates specialized sections for children in many of the remaining 41 stores.

Child safety comes first

Giordano has ensured that all the seven shops that serve the children’s market are safe for children. For example, the pointed edges of all furniture and fixtures have been replaced by rounded corners.

Other examples of child safety include:

  • Play area for kids so that parents can shop whilst the kids play
  • Special selection of toys at the play area to ensure that they are safe for kids of all ages
  • Wider aisles so that kids can move freely and easily without hurting themselves

Pro-friendly staff

Salespersons are empowered to do what is best for the customer to make the customer feel welcomed, regardless of whether the customer is making a purchase.

Examples include:

  • Helping lost children locate their parents
  • Availing fitting rooms for mothers to breastfeed their infants
  • Providing elderly customers with seats while family members browse
