MindChamps PreSchool™ |
Overview |
MindChamps PreSchool enhances and strengthens every child’s own natural learning abilities. By first Freeing, then Leading, the Imagination, the program helps children to create their own unique connections.
MindChamps also conducts workshops for parents such as the Champion Parenting Workshop, Parent Strategies Workshop and the Exam Strategies for Parents Workshop. These workshops are designed to help parents provide a nurturing pro-family environment for their child at home.
MindChamps PreSchool’s business strategy, service standards and design infrastructure have met the requirements set by the ‘Making Businesses Pro-Family (MBP) Initiative’ – the preschool is now a recipient of the Pro-Family Business (PFB) Mark. |
Strategy |
Mission |
MindChamps PreSchool’s mission is to create the optimum learning environment for a child so as to maximise his/her innate champion potential.
MindChamps PreSchool provides holistic programs to aid in the development of all young children. It also conducts regular workshops to help equip parents with useful strategies that they can apply at home.
MindChamps PreSchool programs provide children with cutting-edge learning strategies based on the latest understandings from early childhood education, neuroscience, child psychology and the theatre. |
Product & Service Mix |
In MindChamps PreSchool, ‘family’ plays a big part in some of the programs and activities, e.g., in the Nature & Environmental Awareness Strategies, one of the 8 “key root” strategies, where meaningful lesson themes like Me, My Family and Friends, My Community, My World are used to develop learning.
A key aspect of the My Little Champ program is the active participation of parents throughout all stages of the program. By sharing the experience with the child in the classroom, and learning the strategies for enhancing learning skills, social and cognitive growth in the home, parents acquire skills that are unique in the world of education. |
Marketing & Promotions |
MindChamps implement proactive and fully integrated marketing strategies; publicity, advertising, joint promotions, events and roadshows to effectively reach out to their target audience; parents, caregivers, teens and children.
Their immediate focus is to reach out to customers within Toa Payoh and that of condominiums and land properties in the surrounding areas. Expanding from that, they will establish other centres, either wholly owned or franchised, in all other parts of the island. |
Service |
Service Attitude |
Staff are trained to build rapport with parents, caregivers, teenagers and children, and to be hypersensitive to the needs of their customers. They have great product knowledge and are empowered to offer trial sessions to customers.
MindChamps inculcate strong values, i.e., CREATE (which stands for consistency, realistic, excellence, accountability, teamwork and energy) in their staff. The staff are very passionate about their product and service offerings – they encourage their own children and relatives to sign up for MindChamps programs. |
Nurturing service care |
A little play area near the seminar room allows for parents attending workshops to leave their younger children in the care of a child-minder.
Sales staff are given the flexibility to meet potential customers at their own convenience rather than have them come down to headquarters.
Customers are provided full knowledge of the programs even if they are just inquiring. This is slightly different as compared to some providers where knowledge of the curriculum is not entirely communicated at the initial stage of inquiry. |
Safety first |
Customers have access to safety and emergency information. For instance, routes to fire exits are detailed in maps located in every activity room. A detailed list of emergency contacts is provided in every room as well.
Non-slipped tiles and flooring are used in toilets to protect users from slipping. Furniture have rounded edges in the preschool, power points are elevated from children’s reach and safety gates are installed to safeguard from unauthorised entry.
MindChamps adheres to strict guidelines from MCYS on cleanliness and puts in place rigorous daily cleaning and maintenance to ensure cleanliness and safety. Additional stringent measures are in place for prevention purposes i.e., any HMFD case arising. |
Infrastructure |
Access & Layout |
To encourage free movement and interaction between children and parents, MindChamps PreSchool uses a large spacious playroom (the Neuro-Mooves Gym) for such activities. This room is equipped with a window for concerned parents too.
Wide aisles between rooms and facilities allow for adequate and flexible movement of customers including the wheel-chaired bound and pram-users. |
Facilities |
Handicap toilet facilities are provided for the wheel-chair bound and/or elderly. Urinals in the toilets of MindChamps PreSchool are of the right height for the use of children attending the programs. Non-slip flooring is used in all toilets to ensure the safety of users.
There is ample space between rooms to allow for easy entry and exit. Sufficient lockers and shelves are provided for children, teenagers and even parents who need to store their belongings i.e., tumblers, bags, shoes etc. |
