Incorporated on 2 Mar 1990 as a Singapore-based tour operator, Commonwealth Travel Services Corporation Pte Ltd (CTC Holidays) has evolved into a leading travel and tour operator today  It offers a huge variety of tours for families, couples, senior citizens, and working professionals.

CTC Holidays pro-family strategies include ensuring that families enjoy well-organised tours, top quality service and value-for-money products.

CTC Holidays offers travel packages that are specially catered for families. A wide spectrum of activities that suit different ages is built into the packages. Itineraries are designed to promote family bonding and allow the whole family to enjoy their time together.   

Marketing & Promotions

To enable more families to travel together, CTC Holidays has introduced various family-friendly packages and promotions.  Recent promotions include special discounts for families travelling with children, where children get 50% off when their parents book the travel packages.  There is a “2 adults+2 children family deal” which helps families save up to $300 for a tour package. There are also special discounts for the elderly to encourage three-generation family trips.

Service Attitude

Based on continuous feedback from customers, CTC Holiday develops initiatives to make visiting its office premises and travelling on its tour packages more enjoyable for families.

The company also ensures that its overseas partners (such as local tour operators) also aligned with its Pro-Family strategies and initiatives. This includes reminding the operators to show more consideration to families when they bring our tour groups around, such as having longer rest stops for senior citizens.

Nurturing service care

To ensure that every member of the family is taken care of, CTC Holidays offers special enhancements to tour programmes that allow the whole family to participate together.  Locations are specially picked to cater to the interests and ages of different family members, for example a winter trip to Korea may include both shopping and theme parks.

Safety first

To provide families with a safe holiday, CTC has in place safety and security guidelines for example, hotels are selected for their compliance with their respective national safety regulations, and the safety records of tourist attractions that offer fun rides are checked before they are included into the tour packages.

Infrastructure

Access & Layout

To cater to the needs tri-generational family when they travel, CTC Holidays has guidelines on requirements such as selection of hotel, attraction and coaches to meet the special needs of families, the elderly and also handicapped travelers. For example, for the elderly traveller, the company checks for sufficient rest areas within a tourist attraction, and ensures that hotels provide interconnecting room for parents traveling with their children.

Facilities

To entertain kids while at CTC premises, a kids’ corner was included as part of the facilities at CTC Holidays’ building at Mosque Street. Children can wait and be entertained, while parents are enquiring / booking their tours.  Colouring kits are also provided for the children.
