Pro-Family Business Grant
The Pro-Family Business Grant (Grant) offered by Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS) was established to provide immediate impetus for businesses to consider becoming pro-family.
For Who?
All businesses and organisations whose services or products are relevant to families are eligible for this grant, including existing Pro-Family Business pledgers and those who have achieved the Mark.
Your business qualifies as long as:
- Your company is registered or incorporated in Singapore
- At least 1 outlet
- Targets (or plans to target) families as customers
For What?
The Grant can be used to implement Pro-Family Business projects and to defray the cost of:-
- Business consultancy
- Infrastructure costs
- Training, development and implementation costs
How Much?
Under this Grant, the Government will co-share up to 50% of the costs incurred for approved projects, subject to a cap of $20,000 per organisation regardless of the number of outlets the organisation has.
Things To Note:
- Approved projects must be completed within one year (effective from the date of approval).
- Organisations that apply for the Grant must also apply and successfully attain the Pro-Family Business Mark for at least one of its outlets, in order to receive the full grant amount.
- Organisations that have attained the Pro-Family Business Mark before 1 April 2007 may still apply for the Grant. The said terms and conditions stipulated in this document shall similarly apply to such applications.
- There is no closing date. Applications are accepted throughout the year.

How To Apply?
Before You Apply
- Read the Terms & Conditions and Frequently Asked Questions for more details.
- Find a consultant for your project from the list of MCYS approved Consultants. The company may alternatively choose to nominate a Project Leader (PL) to play the role of a consultant for the project. In such a case, the company must first satisfy MCYS that the PL is fully capable of interpreting the Pro-Family Business Mark framework and implementing corresponding strategies required to satisfy the attainment of the Pro-Family Business Mark.
- Obtain a Project Proposal from your consultant.
- Prepare all the supporting documents:
- Business’ latest profile from the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA)
- Financial statements
- Consultant Project Proposal
- Consultant resume
Applying for Pro-Family Business Grant
- Download the Application Form and Grant Proposal Template.
- Submit the Application Form and Grant Proposal with all the supporting documents.
- Await 2-3 weeks for the outcome of your application for Grant from MCYS.
Upon Successful Application
- You will be notified by mail.
- You will receive Letter of Offer and Official Claim Form from MCYS.
- Start on the project once it has been approved.
- Keep proper financial records. E.g. expenses, invoices, receipts relating to the project.
- Document project records. E.g. scope, timeline, deliverables, progress reports, evaluation reports.
- Applicants must also submit a progress report within six months of the commencement of the project or at the mid point of the project (whichever comes first).
- Pay the consultant in full before submitting your claim
Claiming For Funds
- Complete and submit Official Claim Form within one year from the date of approval. Otherwise, the offer of the grant shall automatically lapse.
Attach the supporting documents:
- Invoices and receipts (including cheque number)
- Bank statements (to show payment and clearance of cheques)
- Final report by Consultant
- Interbank GIRO form
- Wait 3-4 weeks to receive the funds. As all payments will be made via GIRO, a duly completed application form for Interbank GIRO must be submitted.
